When former Parker Brent student, Chris Hunger migrated from New Zealand at the age of 17, he never thought that he’d be operating a successful construction company. Chris always loved building and wanted to gain as much experience as he could in the industry, however, after being made redundant when the company he worked for went into liquidation he felt apprehensive about his future now that he was raising a young family.
But fate intervened! When Chris was looking for work on a construction site, he was approached by a Parker Brent Consultant and found that the courses Parker Brent offered in Building and Construction could offer him a renewed opportunity to reinvent himself as a Builder… so without much hesitation he enrolled. Having an insatiable work ethic, Chris perservered through both the Certificate IV and Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) courses, and upon completion applied to the VBA to obtain his Domestic Builder Registration. Once he obtained his Builders Licence, he started his construction company, Gentrify.
A few years down the track, Chris is running a successful Building and Construction business.
