The CPC60121 Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying is designed for industry professionals looking to enhance their expertise in compliance and construction methods. Designed for those implementing statutory building surveying or providing advisory services, it covers residential and commercial structures specified in the National Construction Code (NCC), focusing on buildings up to three storeys and 2,000 square meters in floor area.

By undertaking the Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying, you will acquire advanced knowledge in compliance intricacies, gaining proficiency in assessing and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. The curriculum delves into diverse construction methodologies, encompassing both traditional and emerging techniques, along with a comprehensive understanding of materials used in the field.

The course is aimed at people looking to move into roles such Building Surveyor, Building Certifier, Building Inspector or Building Regulation Consultant.

Time and Duration

The Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying qualification requires online classroom-based learning two evenings a week, from 5:30-9:30pm over 89 weeks (or less if credit transfers are applied).

This qualification will involve:

A minimum of 2 hours per week of self-directed research

Dedicated classes to introduce key topics, solve problems and work on the assessments

Training support via phone/email

Access to online resources via the Learning Management System (LMS)

Instructor-led live classes via Zoom

Entry requirements
Parker Brent will ensure the program is suitable to your needs, skills, and experience. Prospective students must be able to demonstrate that they are genuinely interested in undertaking a course in building surveying, have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working at a supervisory level (such as a builder, site manager, etc.) in the building and construction industry, and/or the course aligns with their career outlook.

 

Students will be required to have:

Suitable level of English language, literacy and numeracy skills

Access to a building and construction project worksite

A current Construction Induction Card (White Card)

Sufficient knowledge in working online and using technology
